Celebrating NAICD at BCC

We kicked off National Aboriginal & Islander Children’s Day with a whole-school assembly featuring special guests Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse (Wanjoo), who gave a fantastic performance.

Students then enjoyed a tour of our community garden, guided by the amazing Sam Mesiti and volunteers.

Visitors and students alike enjoyed traditional foods such as sausages, kangaroo tail, and damper.

We were honoured to have Deputy Premier Ms. Rita Saffioti and City of Swan Mayor Ms. Tanya Richardson join us, both impressed by the incredible work being done in our garden.

A memorable day celebrating culture, community, and learning!
