ACCESS Senior Schooling Engagement Program
ACCESS has been operating as an integral part of the Ballajura Community College Senior School learning program for more than 16 years. It is well-resourced, has excellent facilities and has been recognised as a leading program in Western Australia.
Students choose to participate in the program and apply through the normal subject selection process.
The program’s underpinning philosophies are:
All students can improve their educational outcomes with
- clear goals;
- workable strategies;
- appropriate curriculum;
- constructive feedback; and
- a supportive environment (school, home, work).
With assistance and appropriate subject selection, all students can graduate at the end of Year 12.
Some students benefit from building strong relationships with staff in a well-structured, supportive environment.
Links between workplaces, school (including the Trade Trading Centre) through work experience, Workplace Learning and School Based Traineeships are critical to success for some students.
