Our incredible Year 8 students (Michael Knight, Tamati Mackey, Isabel Maher, Liana Ysabel Malihan, Ricky Nguyen, Stella Till, Callen Valberg and Anika Wroblewski) recently took part in the Minister’s Innovation Challenge, an exciting competition encouraging students to think creatively and design solutions to real-world problems.

After 7 weeks of hard work, brainstorming, and teamwork, the students delivered an impressive final pitch showcasing their innovative ideas. During an online exhibition on Wednesday 27th November, Ballajura Community College placed 3rd out of a total on 39 school across WA!

A huge thank you to the amazing team for their dedication and creativity, and the families that supported the early mornings and late evenings that came along with the challenge. The team would also like to extend their thanks to the teachers who allowed students to attend meetings during class time and supported the team along the way!
