Mel Congerton
Mel has been on the College Board since the year 2000. He was elected as the City of Swan Local Government Councillor in 1999 and represented the College community on various projects including the Peace Park, International Student Delegation program and Chair of the Performing Arts Theatre Submission to State Government. As a business proprietor and a community leader for over 20 years Mel brings a wealth of local and Government experience to the College.
Mel is passionate about championing the great academic success of the College, he believes that our dynamic multicultural diversity is a winning formula for modern day education teachings. Mel currently serves on a number community and government boards across a wide variety of organisations. These community groups and organisations provide a wide range of benefits for our College. Mel is a patron of the Ballajura Community College, Vice Chair of the College Board, Honorary Freeman of the City of Swan and has been awarded the prestigious “Distinguished Service Award” from the West Australian Local Government Association. |
